My final project consisted of three different hands. One was a foot tall, at 2x the proportions of my actual hand, while the second one was the same proportion as my real hand, and the third was a slightly smaller rendition of my hand.I wanted this project to be a means of creating some functional tools for my mom that are as personal as you can get. I know she would love nothing more than to have an actual replica of her daughter's hands that she can use. So, I took my last project, refined it, made it a functional knife holder, and glazed it. I then created a soap/candy dish, fired it and glazed it. And I also made a tooth pick holder. Because of the time framing, I couldn't have it dry, be fired, and be glazed quick enough before the final. But I don't really care about the cohesive nature of the set. What matters is that I poured my heart into something for my Mom and I'm proud of that, because that's more important than anything else.
